teaching contrived experiences

We use contrived experiences to overcome limitations of space and time.
For example, the model is used when the real object is impossible to bring inside the classroom as a visual aid for the students. For example, the elephant. The elephant is hard to bring inside the classroom that is why we prefer to bring a picture of an elephant to serve as a model.

Mock ups is also a part of contrived experiences.
Mock up is more elaborated than model because it enables to tackle the parts, the uses and measurement. For example, mock up shows how long the nose, the feet or how big the ears of the elephant.
